The problem
UK manufacturers depend on complex, global supply chains that are increasingly exposed to disruption, from extreme weather and port congestion to geopolitical events and supplier failure. Too often, problems only become visible when a delivery is already late or a production line is at risk.
Most organisations hold the data they need to see these risks earlier, but it is scattered across ERP systems, supplier portals, logistics feeds and spreadsheets. Smaller manufacturers in particular rarely have the tools or specialist capacity to bring it together.
What we are building
We are developing a platform that gives manufacturers an early, clear view of supply chain risk and the options available to them. It brings together:
- Digital twins of supply networks, mapping suppliers, sites, routes and critical components
- Geospatial intelligence that overlays weather, transport and regional risk data on supplier locations
- Predictive AI models that flag likely disruptions and estimate their impact on production
- Scenario planning so teams can test alternative suppliers, routes or stock levels before committing
- Clear, explainable alerts designed for operations and procurement teams, not just data specialists
The platform is being designed to be secure by default, to integrate with common manufacturing systems and to be affordable for small and medium-sized manufacturers as well as larger organisations.
Where we are now
The platform is in active development. Core data models and the supply network digital twin are in place, and we are refining the predictive models and user experience with input from early partner organisations.
